Chris Johnson, the week 8 AFC Offensive Player of the Week, thinks the Titans can win ten games in a row... and possibly make the playoffs.

“We really believe like we can … like we started off 10-0 last year … before we played Jacksonville, we sat down and was like we really feel like we can go 10-0 in these last ten games”

Sure, it's possible, but is it a realistic expectation?

I will look at Tennessee's next nine opponents and discuss the biggest obstacle to victory for each game.

Week 9 - at San Francisco: The 49ers defense is ranked second in the league against the run and held the Indianapolis Colts to 18 points in a losing effort. Vince Young will have to pass for more than 125 yards and avoid turnovers for the Titans to win.

Week 10 - vs. Buffalo: The biggest obstacle to a victory is not taking this team as lightly as I am. I've watched Buffalo a couple of times this season, and I've seen no reason why Tennessee can't handle this team.

Week 11 - at Houston: Matt Schaub currently leads all quarterbacks in passing yards, but tight end Owen Daniels is out for the year with an ACL injury. But Andre Johnson still looms large.

Week 12 - vs. Arizona: Kurt Warner has been both a touchdown machine and a turnover machine this season. The Titans defense must make Warner very uncomfortable in the pocket to stifle the Cardinals' high powered passing offense.

Week 13 - at Indianapolis: No explanation necessary. This game is the biggest obstacle between the Titans and a 10-game winning streak.

Week 14 - vs. St. Louis: Steven Jackson is currently tied for second in the league in rushing behind Chris Johnson. Tennessee's defense must stop him from having a Maurice Jones-Drew-type day and put pressure on fading star Marc Bulger.

Week 15 - vs. Miami: The Dolphins scare me almost as much as the Colts. Can defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil devise a scheme to keep Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams in check?

Week 16 - vs. San Diego: The Chargers are overrated, but they are a well-balanced team. Philip Rivers has many weapons at his disposal. Tennessee must play a solid game in all three phases to beat the Chargers.

Week 17 - at Seattle: It's been a while since Matt Hasselbeck has played at a Pro Bowl level, but anyone can get hot on any given Sunday.

So what will happen? I believe the best case scenario for Tennessee is an 8-8 record, but Chris Johnson's not a bad Pied Piper to follow. It doesn't hurt to dream. What do you think?
